Course Description
Introduction to Accounting and Financial Management to acquaint the student of Construction Management with the many financial aspects used in the construction industry and in the field to properly manage the process of construction as well as monitoring the basic risk of losing monies while managing the construction process. Review the process for the creation of the contractor’s schedule of values and the processing of the monthly payment process for contractors and subcontractors. Review of the change order requests, and the accounting tools needed to verify and confirm the validity of the requests and the financial impact on the overall project.
