Course Description

Utility Planning will give students an overview of what is required to become a planner in the utility industry. It will provide an overview of the utility industry and the rules and tariffs that govern California utilities. You will also learn the basics of electrical theory and the fundamentals of customer service.

Course topics include:

  • Intro and Rules
  • Electric theory I
  • Electric theory II
  • Electric theory III
  • OH Materials
  • UG Materials
  • Final Exam

Note: The class will include weekly assignments and a final exam.
