Principles of Utility Planning will give students an overview of design and construction concepts including right of way, utility and civil engineering plan reading, mapping symbols, construction methods, and an introduction to transmission and the electrical grid.
Course topics include:
- Civil Maps & RW
- Utility Maps
- Single & Three Phase Design
- Meter Spotting
- Field Applications
- Planner Tools
- Final Exam
Note: The class will include weekly assignments and a final exam.
